Brijendra Agrawal graduated in Commerce from the University of Delhi in the Year 1984. During his graduation, he passed the Entrance Examination of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India in the Year 1981. He then joined M/s Thakur, Vaidyanath Aiyar & Co, New Delhi, a prestigious and renowned firm of Chartered Accountants, as an Articled Clerk in the same year. During the period of article ship, he gained vast practical experience in the area of financial audit, management audit, statutory audit, internal audit, bank inspection, investigation audit, tax audit from the audits of Public Sector Undertakings, Public Limited Companies, Private Companies, National Level Co-operatives, Banks, Educational Institutions, Trusts, Societies and other entities. In addition, exposure to Companies Act, Income Tax Act and Corporate Laws were gained through consultancy division of the Firm.

He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in January 1989 and was admitted as an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India in January 1989. He joined M/s AWATAR & CO., Chartered Accountants in April, 1989 as a partner. On completing five years of practice, he was admitted as a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India in January 1994.

He has traveled widely in India and abroad in connection with the professional assignments. He was a member of a team, which conducted an investigation audit in Malaysia.

His field of specialization is statutory audits, internal audits, concurrent audits and tax audits.
