Rajendra Agrawal graduated in Commerce from the University of
Delhi in the Year 1982. During his graduation, he passed the Entrance
Examination of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India
in the Year 1980. He then joined M/s Thakur, Vaidyanath Aiyar
& Co, New Delhi, a prestigious and renowned firm of Chartered
Accountants, as an Articled Clerk in the same year. During the
period of article ship, vast practical experience in the area
of financial audit, management audit, statutory audit, internal
audit, concurrent audit, bank inspection and investigation audit
was gained from the audit of Public Sector undertakings, Public
Limited Companies, Private Companies, National Level Co-operatives,
Banks, Educational Institutions, Trusts, Societies and other entities.
In addition, exposure to Companies Act, Income Tax Act and Corporate
Laws was gained through consultancy division of the Firm.
He
qualified as a Chartered Accountant in July 1984 and was admitted
as an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants
of India in August 1984. On completing five years of practice,
he was admitted as a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered
Accountants of India in August 1989.
He
has traveled widely in India and abroad in connection with the
professional assignments. He visited Singapore, Indonesia and
Zambia for professional assignments. He was associated with the
Consultancy Division of A.F. Ferguson & Co. on an assignment
of the World Bank in connection with the Study and Analysis of
Water & Sewerage Augmentation and commercialization of accounts
in the State of Madhya Pradesh in India.
His
field of specialization is statutory audits, excise audits and
secretarial audits.
